I would like to know
How to say your name
I would like to see
How you play the game
Come play with me
(I won't let you win)
I won't let you win but I have to say
(Nobody can lose)
Nobody can lose, not the way I play
(Do I have consent)
Do I have consent, and if you're all set
(Tell me where you choose)
Choose your place or mine
Okay let's jet
(I will write your name)
I will write your name how you taught me to
(I can show you skies)
Just look out my eyes, more grey than blue
(I'll familiarize)
I'll familiarize myself with your moves
(Settle in the grind)
Settle in the grind, get into a groove
Tell me when you see my sun is shining
Baby I can see your star is rising
(Do you have a team?)
If this ain't your game I won't waste your time
(How do I apply?)
If it's cool I swear I'm qualified
(If you have control)
In your ready hand place the control
(Can I get you high?)
If we could get high, solid gold
(I'm ready to go)
I've been ready since you walked in the place
(You choose your disguise)
You in your disguise, me in my face
(Push the button now)
Push the button, that's the way we start the show
(Let's get lost inside)
Let's get lost inside, okay let's go
(Let me lead the way)
Let me show you where hidden treasure lies
(I know you won't mind)
I'll just lay back and let you drive
(Tell me you approve)
Prove to me you know how your figure moves
(Subtle in my grind)
Subtle in my grind, heavy in your groove

A new Shabazz Palaces album is a must buy in advance. Whenever have they disappointed? Mysterious, dark yet shiny, this is cyberpunk hip hop, afrofuturism with a swag, grooves for our space colonies. a.g.e. montagner
Like so many others, this came like a bolt out of the blue and, even though it's well before payday, I had to have this astonishing album on vinyl to prove it exists. The feel of the tunes makes me feel like the Impressions do, Curtis Mayfield, the big spaces and instinctive horns and stuff drifting in and out. Great grooves and I can see lots of ghosts nodding along to this with big smiles on their faces. At last! Anthony Cottrell
Psychedelic folk-rock, hazy synthesized funk, and smoky French vocals are just a few of the elements in Project Gemini's latest record. Bandcamp New & Notable Apr 6, 2024
